Teaching
I have taught courses in sociology, legal studies, and gender and sexuality studies, focusing on topics including research methods, gender, sexuality, race, and health and biomedicine. Though I am primarily a qualitative researcher, I have considerable experience and enjoy teaching undergraduate quantitative methods. Additionally, I have both supervised undergraduate and graduate research assistants and mentored students working on undergraduate honors theses, master’s theses, and PhD dissertations in sociology and consider one of my primary professional goals working with and expanding educational access for queer and first-generation college students like myself.
